Project Overview
Project School Macquaire point addresses the issue lack of good schools  in a 3 km radius near the Macquire point. School Macquire Point is a primary and secondary school with a outdoor sports area, a well equipped library, computer labs , large school hall as well as a gym. The project uses brick as the main material as well as the facade of the building include many windows as the school was catering different age group of students so the schools exterior walls have windows for different heights of people so that everyone can take advantage of a wonderful skyline. The window is the driver for making the school building exciting and also been it about articulation. Windows will allow direct sunlight in the study spaces making the room look brigher and bigger.

The area around the site Macquire Point in Hobart had very few schools within the 5km radius. Macquire Point School is a primary and secondary school with an outdoor sports area, a well-equipped library, computer labs, a large school hall, a gym, a cafe, and various classrooms. The project uses brick as the primary material due to its link with the surrounded buildings, as seen from the site analysis.
