Project Eco - Autarkic

Architectural Design
Project Overview
In the early years of the 21st century, Melbourne entered a new period of high economic and population growth under the more conservative Labor government of Steve Bracks, which restored public expenditure on health and education. Climate change in Australia started becoming a critical issue. Australia began to become hotter and more prone to extreme heat, bushfires, droughts, floods and longer fire seasons because of climate change. With time people started taking things of nature for granted and thinking that they could control things of nature through technology. The buildings are greener and more sustainable.Through the Project Eco-Autarkic, the Theme of Health Vs High Density has been considered, and a futurist “Self-Sufficient” building has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the people along with the health
aspect of it.
Project Brief
By 2060 due to the increase in pollution and the continuous change in the environmental condition, the streets of Melbourne have entirely transformed. There are no cars or trains on the roads. Melbourne's transport system has completely moved underground. Also, due to the problems people faced in 2020, people have realized the need for self-sufficient buildings.
